  1. I never realized Mark Twain had so much to say about mists ... he seems to have loved them too.

    These photos are all so lovely and soft and shadowed, so pearly and mysterious-looking. They make me want to be in the mountains.

    P.S. Looking again, it seems to me that the pines are an absolutely perfect visual accompaniment to the mist. Their dark, upright prickliness makes an amazing visual counterpoint with the softness and shadow.

  5. Have you ever been to the Rocky Mountains in British Columbia? Everytime we drive through Rogers Pass I look at them like I am looking for the first time. I don't want to ever take that view for granted! Your photos are breath taking!

  6. Those are mysterious and beautiful photos. I love the quotes that you chose. I'm glad that I figured out that there would often be a pearl of wisdom if I held my mouse over a photo! You really know how to capture gorgeous shapes within the mist - which is what makes these photos so special.
