Snowflake Monday

In the middle of tweaking last week's Veteran's Day II Starflake to accommodate six points (it needed a larger center), one of my military friends requested a five-pointer from the same pattern, but with a blue star and a red outline. I spent the next couple of days' train commutes trying to work out a method to construct the final round without having to tie and bury 10 knots. Meanwhile, Lizard has been enjoying Season 1 of Star Trek Next Generation for the first time. He converted to Trekism when he married me, and now the final addiction has come. We've spent many a cold, stormy winter night watching Star Trek movies from all timelines and The Original Series. We had discussed purchasing Next Generation over the years but just never got around to it, until now.

Now, Lizard understands why I'm such a Trekkie. He thought Spock was awesome (just like me). Now he's eating up all the character development of Next Generation, and, like me, having trouble picking a favorite.

And I still haven't solved the knotless three-color Veteran's Starflake dilemma, but I'm boldly going in directions I've never crocheted before! I will figure this out!

You may do whatever you'd like with starflakes you make from this pattern, but you may not sell or republish the pattern. Thanks, and enjoy!

Starflake also may be taped to window or tied to doorknob or cabinet handle.

  1. Boldly going and getting it done you will do. I've only ever watched a few movies with Star Trek, not much else.
