  1. I think Grand Mesa is the hardest ride in the state, excluding the drivable 14ers of Mount Evans and Pikes Peak. Because of the heat at lower elevations, Grand Mesa may have been harder than the 14ers on that day. Nonetheless, it's always a grunt.

    1. I'm still huffing and puffing a week later!!! I've always thought Pikes Peak was the hardest, but the heat on the Mesa that day really did get to me. I think it may have taken over that top spot.
