Wordless Wednesday

My dinnerplate dahlia grows only about three or four inches across.

Size doesn't stop butterflies from sipping.

Or posing for photos.

    1. Thank you, Ivh. Yes, we are fine. We are about 30 to 40 miles south/southwest of the most destructive flooding and on high ground to boot. Our hearts go out to those who have suffered from the forest fires, and now this.

  3. I can see the attraction to that flower, with its vibrant colors and elegant geometry. Clearly, the butterfly sees something in it, too.

  6. I love the bokeh in the first butterfly photo. They're all gorgeous, and I now know exactly how hard it is to get such glorious photos!

I assume that you're all okay down there. Our world has been turned upside down but we're okay.

    1. Thanks, KB! Yes, we're okay. High ground, which I'm sure you're on, too. But you're probably more isolated by the damage than I am. I hope you're able to get around as you need to.
