Worthy to be WIPped

Say hello to the newest member of the Snowcatcher family. We've named her Ringo. She's beautiful, and she's ours!!! (la la la, ours, ours, ours...)

Cast a double-take on the most recent finish at the Snowcatcher abode. She's called Welcome to the Jungle, but I think I should rename her Murphy's Law. However, she is done, and that makes me very happy. She earned me yet another Queen of the Last Minute crown, as I finished binding her 24 minutes before the summer quarter deadline.

There is so much more to the story behind this quilt. But I will keep it short and sweet this time and detail only one tiny but painful chapter from the novel experience. Get a load of the bird nests Ringo drew on the back of the quilt after I didn't get to pamper the newest addition to the family for a couple of weeks.

Tears were shed. Ripper was activated. Tension was reset.  Stitches were replaced. Practice, practice, practice might eventually make perfect one day!

Now the new quilt graces our bed, albeit sideways because I didn't make it wide enough and can't figure out a way to make it fit without taking it apart, replacing the aging lizards who really don't want to go through the wash again.

Now, blink an eye at my newly shortened (by one whole notch) Autumn WIP list:

2. Lizard Toes

  1. Hmm Murphy's Law sure doesn't bode well for a name haha but getting such ones done sure must be a relief and a win indeed.

  2. Oh, those bird nest stitches on that back of that quilt just make me want to sob for you. Waaaa. It is a beautiful finish, whatever you want to call it. You have the last laugh as you're sleeping under it, not the other way around. ~smile~ Roseanne

Dusty words lying under carpets,
seldom heard, well must you keep your secrets
locked inside, hidden deep from view?
