Ride the Sockies

a hole in my heel

This is how far I got on my socks this year during Ride the Rockies. I bought the yarn last year to make socks during the 2012 Ride the Rockies, but I was so exhausted every day, I didn't get much done. I frogged the project, and the yarn balls waited until this year.

My Very Own Socks!

I finished the last tiny bit of the second heel on the train on the way to work three days after I got home from Ride the Rockies. I love my new Sockies!

  3. They're so pretty! I didn't know you could do an afterthought heel in crochet socks - but really, why not?

    1. Thanks, Sue! Any heel you can knit can be crocheted, too. Insert fist pump here. Yuppers, about 200 hits each night while I sleep, Sue. Except on the eve of turning. Only 94 that night!
