Snowflake Wednesday

This snowflake sat on my computer desk at home for years, sadly, because I ran out of the Mist colorway I was using to make it before I finished the final snowflake tip.

I needed a bunch of small snowflakes for my special project, which will be revealed here on Saturday in celebration of Snowflake Day, and this little unfinished snowflake was just the perfect size. I finished up the prototype by matching the very pale green in the colorway for the last couple of spikes. You can't even tell!

It didn't take long to then test the pattern by making another one in white for the special project. I'm so excited about this surprise, it's difficult to continue keeping it a secret! Let's see, Mistique Snowflake??? No, it looks spelled wrong. Let's go with the regular spelling!

Feel free to join in the Snowflake Ball activities at Sisters of the Snowflake!

You may do whatever you'd like with snowflakes you make from this pattern, but you may not sell or republish the pattern. Thanks, and enjoy!

Finished Size: 4 inches from point to point

Snowflake also may be taped to window or tied to doorknob or cabinet handle.

  2. Cool snowflakes. I think even with the detailed instructions I'd have a hard time getting it to look right ;)

  3. Oh Deb, this one is just lovely! Those little spikes are perfect.

Sorry for being so behind on your posts.... I hope that in a couple of weeks things will slow down for us here and then I can catch up. I'm working on a little project with that reflective yarn, by the way. :)

    1. Thanks, Michelle! I'm going to have to try to dye some thread in those colors next time I have time to dye. I really enjoyed that colorway while it lasted!
