Dusty words lying under carpets,
seldom heard, well must you keep your secrets
locked inside, hidden deep from view?
You can talk to me... (Stevie Nicks)

Sure is a window back through time, glad for the comforts we have now that we take for granted. Shop keeper seems to be enjoying it though.
ReplyDeleteYes, Pat, this place really made me thankful for my warm bed! I fell in love with the shy shopkeeper, though, and wanted to take him (or her) home! Both of them loved being scratched all the way down their back, but the shy one would NOT let me take a photo at all!
DeleteGreetings from Sunny Salida Colorado - love the pictures and the snowflakes. I found your blog while looking for snowflake patterns to crochet for my daughter's wedding veil - she will be getting married in January in Denver and wants snowflakes. I find it ironic that I do Ride the Rockies as well, having gotten married to my husband during the 2003 ride. I just completed my 7th RTR this year. I will be using some of your snowflake patterns for the veil and would like to send you a picture of it when it is done.
ReplyDeleteWell, hello, Cycling Beaver! Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to write! My first RtR was the 2003 ride!!! And this would have been my 7th this year, had I been able to ride. Did you see they just named the new director? We think they are going north next year, possibly Steamboat Springs. Anxious to learn the route! And oh, so anxious to see your daughter's wedding veil. How beautiful that is going to be!!! Please stay in touch!
DeleteWhat a fascinating place. The adobe looks just like sand, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteThe kitty and the beads were my favourite photos. :) Then the yarn.
P.S. I wish you could see all the trade beads we have at work. They're from the early 1800s and very, very cool.
P.P.S. Awesome comment above mine! If you do get a picture of that veil, I hope she'll let you share it. :)
