Mount Sherman

Mount Sherman

4 July 2007

Not only did I climb Sherman, Gemini and Sherman today and see a fabulous fireworks show, but I also figured out how to manipulate the camera to get the best fireworks shots I've ever done, film or digital.

But it's now 12:23 a.m., and I need to shower because I'm still sweaty from the hike and bug-lotioned from the fireworks. We've been up nearly 24 hours! I did take a couple of catnaps in the car, but I am so ready for bed. I don't want to set an alarm for the morning, but I'm afraid I might sleep until noon if I don't!

Well, now I have a rough draft idea of what the quilt will look like!

  3. I've always wondered how you got those great fireworks shots.

So did you sleep in the next morning? :)

    1. Sue, I may just have to do a tutorial. These were shot before I bought the Nikon D300, though. It's MUCH easier to use for night shots. The old Fuji was a real pain, and it died shortly after these photos.

As I recall, I had to be at work the next morning, so no, I didn't sleep in.
