I may never know. It also could have been Barnes & Noble, where I also shopped in the last three months.

I wish the people who put so much time into trying to break through security measures would put that effort to good use instead of evil. What a sad use of precious time.Snowcatcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06360228352528558176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7672125489692725745.post-66618710948613756522013-02-28T10:49:09.949-07:002013-02-28T10:49:09.949-07:00Oh, Karen, I wish it hadn't happened to me so ...Oh, Karen, I wish it hadn't happened to me so many times. But I guess we learn from each experience, right? At least I'm with a good bank now. I hear there are some from this latest rash who don't have good banks. There is a website that shows all kinda of security breaches that happen: from you health information, to going to the store to buy and Ice cream cone. If ya'll ever want to check out how many really happen or may affect you, go look at http://www.privacyrights.org/data-breach. Fortunately, there are laws that prevent companies from keeping these things from you however they are not usually advertised on a company's website. I feel your pain Deb and all I can say to comfort you is that there are many people out there who work to find the flaws in the system and fix them so we all can have a little piece of mind. Why can't people just get off their duff's and get a job and not steal what does not belong to them? But of course we all assume these people have some sort of moral code (which they do not) and were raised by loving people who taught them wrong from right. Such a shame.

I did hear that Knit Picks had an issue, and lots of people on Ravelry were talking about it on one of the boards. Apparently, it happened back in January, and Knit Picks did not let anyone know. The word spread via Ravelry.

Blessings always Stitchy Mc Floss https://www.blogger.com/profile/00562041622656969121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7672125489692725745.post-59212280140141647782013-02-26T08:26:14.702-07:002013-02-26T08:26:14.702-07:00Oh my gosh, it is a scary thing and I know these t...Oh my gosh, it is a scary thing and I know these things happen, but seriously it shouldn't be a thing that happens to the same person so many times. I have always followed the same steps as you, our elders taught us well, heck my Mother never even trusted the drive-thru banks. But I do safe guard using the internet- only using a debit card for charges and one that I keep little money in, enough for those kinds of purchases and it's in one bank. Even donating money to my kid's Polar Plunge this year, I didn't do it on line I gave her the cash. I sure hope you stay safe in the future you've sure been through way too much already!21 Witshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00071361755673253230noreply@blogger.com
