And how would we even have let anyone know we were stranded?!? We would have had no signal!

The unplanned weekend at home was indeed so relaxing, I'm doing it again this weekend... maybe I can finish Andrew's quilt now! :)Snowcatcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06360228352528558176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7672125489692725745.post-76492974887456674612014-10-18T07:42:13.986-06:002014-10-18T07:42:13.986-06:00You make me feel so on top of the world, Sue! Can you tell I love sunrises?!?

I think I like your idea of mixing hand- and machine-quilting. That does sound like a good stabilization method! I may have to do it again on Andrew's quilt just to test your theory...Snowcatcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06360228352528558176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7672125489692725745.post-55277602648192253162014-10-17T20:57:57.707-06:002014-10-17T20:57:57.707-06:00Oh gosh, totally forgot to say what a bummer about...Oh gosh, totally forgot to say what a bummer about your car - but as always God was looking out for you and it could have been so much worse.

A weekend of sewing at home sounds VERY relaxing! :)Mrs. Micawberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08680436275934263596noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7672125489692725745.post-40133491711783420252014-10-17T20:52:28.280-06:002014-10-17T20:52:28.280-06:00Wow, what a great post! And I've always thought that binding should be applied by machine but sewn down by hand. (Otherwise it's hard to avoid puckering and/or stretching the quilt.)

Love that backing fabric (nice work, Lizard!) and the front is, of course, wonderful. I really like the design you chose for both the hand- and machine-quilting.

Isn't it great when even the sky puts on pink ribbons? :)Mrs. Micawberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08680436275934263596noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7672125489692725745.post-24480446327118592522014-10-17T14:23:36.757-06:002014-10-17T14:23:36.757-06:00Wow, thanks Homemade!
