It was interesting to hear about your November sunrises. I tend to observe changes in sunsets (not being an Early Riser like you!), and have noticed that just at the end of December/beginning of January we get the most amazing lavender sunsets. They don't seem to happen any other time of year.

400 snowflakes is stupendous! I still have not had a chance to upload new photos of the first Round of this snowflake, but I do have a photo tutorial of the join here. I hope that will help. I have limited internet access these days, and that's the best I can do for now.Snowcatcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06360228352528558176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7672125489692725745.post-30738386412492754092015-12-23T07:30:58.691-07:002015-12-23T07:30:58.691-07:00Hi, Lyn! We've got the very slight possibility of a white Christmas Eve here, and we may drive to a white Christmas. :)

You finish the 6th popcorn just like all the rest. Then instead of the ch 8 between popcorns, you're substituting with the sequence I wrote above so you may begin the next round at the top center of the chain 8 loop instead of binding off and starting again in that spot. It does sound more difficult than it really is, especially if you've never done it before, but it saves time and thread. And frustration for some. When I first began crocheting, instructions such as these would have you slip stitch up to the point where the next round begins, which causes that one point to be rather bulky and sometimes misshapen. I thought I'd invented something cool when I came up with this way of doing it until I discovered many doily patterns feature the same technique now.

I will see if I can get another popcorn center made tonight and ask my husband to photograph the steps so we can add sort of a tutorial. I don't think I've done one on that particular type of step, and perhaps I need to...

I'll try to get it done as quickly as possible, but work's crazy this time of year, so please be patient with me.Snowcatcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06360228352528558176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7672125489692725745.post-40028501068761768802015-12-23T04:52:32.321-07:002015-12-23T04:52:32.321-07:00Congratulations on your 400th beautiful snowflake!...Congratulations on your 400th beautiful snowflake! That is an incredible and impressive achievement.
I am new to snowflakes - Perth, Western Australia was 95*F today - but I like the idea of looking at something cool in this heat.
I am having a bit of trouble understanding how to finish the last, 6th popcorn, and how to start the second row. Is it my lack of snowflake construction knowledge?! :-)
I hope you & your family have a safe & happy Christmas.
Regards,
LynTalyn10https://www.blogger.com/profile/07482937184599845902noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7672125489692725745.post-66092882031952572082015-12-09T21:15:44.571-07:002015-12-09T21:15:44.571-07:00Thanks, Patty!
