Wordless Wednesday

Where did this cold white stuff come from?

Maybe if I give her the evil snarl, she'll quit pointing that big black thing at me.

Maybe I can hide behind this tree.

Maybe if I moon her, she'll quit pointing that big black thing at me.

Are you done now?

  2. Aren't porcupines amazing? I ran across one in the San Juans this summer so my photos were in wildflowers. I love your photos in the snow. What odd animals, don't you think?

  3. Who needs words when you look like this! Once a friend of mine and myself were just chatting along a trail and suddenly we looked up and who do you think was sitting right over our head starring at us? Yep, if you said this porcupine's brother, you'd be right!

  5. What a cute little guy! I hope this is in fact an archive photo and it's not already snowing that strongly there.

  8. Poor animal! It is hard to find some food... Delicious things are hidden under the white fluffy stuff.

  9. Oh that paw reaching out in the top photo! And the hot pink tongue. You've captured the critter-nature so well.

  10. They do make you smile when you see them, probably not so much if you get too close and they spray you with their spines!

  11. It's hard to believe those are spines - they look like nice fluffy fur, if a bit spiky in an 80's sort of way.

Great photos. (I'm always saying that but it's always true.)
