Wordless Wednesday

Fire!
Sale!
Gotta get outta here!
How do you spell the sound of aircraft brakes?
Fly away!
Was it something I said?
Time to go home.

  1. Awesome wildlife. So happy to see redwing blackbirds in the sky. Supposedly they have the highest number of birds, but still when 3,000 of them fall from the sky overnight it's sad and disconcerting.

  2. So happy to see redwing black birds flying after reading about 3,000 of them falling from the sky overnight, even though there are millions more it's sad and disconcerting. Happy 1st WW of 2011

Today we have a really nasty snowstorm. It took me 20 minutes to dig out my car.

  14. Beautiful shots! I read an article this morning about a massive die off of Red Wing blackbirds in Louisiana. There were several thousand found on a stretch of highway. What caught my attention was the number of them that could be in a single flock. From 10's of thousands and on up. Amazing!

    Happy New Year and WW!

  15. The first bird I ever saw on a nature walk at age 9 was a red winged blackbird--I'd never known they existed and it was exciting to see one. Your group photo is amazing.

  21. The red wing blackbirds are spectacular. I've never seen a flock of them so big. The duck at sunset(?) is also amazing...

I'm still catching up after a long time with houseguests and little blog reading. I'm glad that I went back to check this one out!

BTW, I'm loving my new camera although I have a ton to learn, both about the camera and how to make the most of what it can do (i.e., photography skillz).
